Energy Harvesting
We're seeking energy harvesting solutions for high-altitude, extreme-temperature environments as part of our MeteoSonde pico balloon platform.
Project Overview
Long-duration stratospheric flights require reliable energy harvesting to power telemetry and communication systems. We need solutions that can operate in extreme cold, high UV exposure, and varying sun angles throughout multi-month or multi-year missions.
Requirements
| Requirement | Specification |
|---|---|
| Operating Temperature | -65°C to +40°C (critical: low-end performance) |
| Power Output | Minimum 50mW average during daylight |
| Mass Constraint | Under 5 grams total |
| Durability | Must survive 1+ year of continuous operation |
| UV Resistance | High UV exposure at altitude |
